Savannah

Family mystery

A New Yorker searching for her biological father discovers a wealthy dynasty determined to bury the truth about her birth.

Created by Amy MatthewMulti-season series development

Public treatment

She came looking for her father and found a dynasty built on her absence.

Savannah leaves New York with one goal: identify the biological father she has never known. Her search leads into a wealthy Southern family whose public elegance depends on keeping the circumstances of her birth buried.

As Savannah moves closer to the truth, every possible relative has something different to lose. The mystery becomes a multigenerational drama about identity, inheritance, and whether family is defined by blood, recognition, or the courage to claim one another.

Format: One-hour Southern family mystery drama

Tone: Romantic, atmospheric, emotionally sincere, and rich with Southern history; family discovery carries the suspense.

The world: Savannah’s shaded squares, historic homes, riverfront streets, old institutions, debutante traditions, summer storms, and public grace conceal private history.

Pilot story

The opening hour.

Emma follows an unsent adoption letter to a Whitmore Foundation gala. Charles denies knowing her mother, Vivian orders a background check, Lila assumes Emma wants money, Beau helps, and Noah recognizes the letter’s name. A family portrait contains Emma’s mother.

First-season treatment

The complete public season arc.

Emma investigates her mother while discovering the affection, privilege, and control inside the Whitmore dynasty. Lila evolves from rival toward sister. Noah connects Emma’s mother to disputed property and a fatal storm-night accident. Charles admits he knew of the pregnancy but was told the child died; Vivian arranged the adoption to protect the family name, and someone helped her.

Series runway: Later seasons explore Emma’s place in both families, inheritance conflict, Savannah’s interconnected dynasties, and new evidence surrounding her mother’s disappearance.
