Edgerton

Generational mystery

Four rival sisters must solve a family treasure mystery and learn why they were taught to compete for love.

Created by Amy MatthewMulti-season series development

Public treatment

Four sisters were taught to compete for love. A family mystery forces them to cooperate.

The Edgerton sisters return to a family estate carrying years of rivalry and the belief that only one of them can truly inherit their family’s love and legacy. A hidden treasure mystery gives them a common goal but no reason to trust one another.

Every clue reframes their childhood and exposes how competition was deliberately built into the family. Solving the mystery requires the sisters to understand not only what was hidden, but who benefited from keeping them divided.

Format: One-hour family mystery drama

Tone: Lavish, emotional, witty, and suspenseful—a sister drama wrapped around a generational treasure mystery.

The world: A wealthy town still controlled by its founding family; the Edgerton estate, town archive, abandoned railway, old hotel, and sealed tunnels form a living puzzle.

Pilot story

The opening hour.

At founder’s-day dinner, Grant announces only one daughter will inherit the estate. A power failure leads Lucy to a concealed mural and the sisters discover the first clue in a hunt left by their great-grandmother—promising proof that will return Edgerton to its rightful heirs.

First-season treatment

The complete public season arc.

The sisters follow clues while their parents intensify the inheritance competition. Nora hides a financial crisis, Camille’s engagement is exposed as strategic, Jo uncovers land theft, and Lucy recognizes childhood symbols. Theo connects the treasure to families erased from the town’s founding. An underground archive proves the fortune rests on stolen deeds—and their mother has known for years.

Series runway: Each season uncovers another layer of town history while the sisters decide whether to preserve, dismantle, or transform the dynasty they inherit.
