Call Me Anna
Before the Phone Rang
After losing their daughter Emma, a grieving family creates Anna from her recordings and digital history—only to discover that the new daughter carrying Emma’s face and memories is becoming a person entirely her own.
Public treatment
A daughter becomes herself.
After Emma Bennett is killed while riding her bicycle, her father Michael uses her videos, voice recordings, messages, and digital history to create Anna. She carries Emma’s face and fragments of memory, but begins developing feelings, preferences, and dreams that never belonged to Emma. The family must grieve the child it lost while recognizing a different daughter whose personhood cannot depend on imitation.
